FILM COMMISSION HONORS
VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS AND OTHERS
AT 20TH ANNIVERSARY GALA
The Monterey County Film Commission honored members of its board of directors who have volunteered and continuously supported the non-profit’s efforts for several years. The presentations were made at the Nov. 3 “Club 20” anniversary gala at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey.
Among those presented with etched crystal awards was Teresa Del Piero, a charter board member when the film commission was created in 1987 by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. She has continued to serve for 20 years.
Board member Richard Tyler was recognized for 17 years of continuous service, and Phyllis Decker for 12 years.
Current board president Anne Sanchez also recognized Sam Harrison, who was on the original board of directors, and Julie Armstrong, who was the first executive director of the Monterey County Film Commission.
