“Hollywood's Big Night” 2011 celebrated the Academy Awards in style at The Beach & Tennis Club in Pebble Beach!
From the red carpet arrival to the gourmet dinner and Big Screen telecast, the film commission's 21st annual event was the next-best thing to being at the actual Oscars celebration.
The glamorous fundraiser for the Monterey County Film Commission had KSBW-TV news anchor Erin Clark as host, and featured a silent auction with more than 100 items. Alan Vasquez, representing his local production company Alternative Visual Artists Group, Inc., was presented a Walk of Fame Star replica as a key event sponsor.
Sonja Aldisert of Monterey took home the top raffle prize, an overnight at the Inn at Spanish Bay, dinner at Peppoli's, and a Pebble Beach spa treatment.
Funds were raised in support of the nonprofit Monterey County Film Commission, which works to bring movies and other media productions to our area for the economic boost they bring. Some proceeds also benefited the film commission's film student scholarship, and a Carmel Art & Film Festival scholarship.
