The Monterey County Film Commission welcomes inquiries on filming within the county and promptly responds with free referrals.  For a relatively small fee, you can market yourself or your business in the Production Directory under the category that fits you best.  Our website has an average of 6500 impressions per month, most of which are film productions coming to town and looking to hire locals.

Friends of the Film Commission are occasionally notified when film productions put out a hurried call for "extras."  We turn to our Friends of the Film Commission membership list first, and this has led to local employment opportunities.  Join as a "friend" today.

Local casting agencies are your best source for becoming an "extra."
